On September 26, 2025, the 6th meeting of the Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+ was held at the Azerbaijan State of Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) in Baku. Our university was represented by S.B. Karabalaeva and N.M. Namatbekova. The Rectors’ Club: Central Asia+ is a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing best management and academic practices among leaders of higher education institutions in Central Asia and partner countries.
The forum focused on developing strategic approaches to developing higher education at universities, strengthening international academic cooperation, and promoting sustainable university governance models.
The keynote speakers at the 6th meeting were: Hans de Wit, Professor Emeritus at Boston College (USA), a leading global expert on the internationalization of higher education. 📌 Topic of the presentation: “Eurasian Higher Education and Its Internationalization in the Global Shocks Era ” and Dara Melnik, an international expert in university transformation. 📌 Presentation topic: “The Idea of the Region and Innovation in Higher Education.”
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of leading universities in Baku, aimed at expanding academic and research ties, as well as establishing long-term cooperation in academic mobility, joint programs, and the exchange of best university management practices.
