On February 4, 2026, a delegation from the French Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France Mr. Nicolas Faye, visited the Central Campus of the International University of Kyrgyzstan.
š¤During the visit, the French Ambassador met with the Rector of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, E.Yu. Savchenko, and representatives of the university administration. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in education and noted the development of joint programs with French universities.
šIt was noted that, with the support of the French Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Melvin Bo, a French teacher, teaches French language classes for IUK students. During the meeting, the French Embassy donated French language teaching materials and textbooks to the IUK library, which contributes to improving the quality of students’ language training and expanding their opportunities to participate in educational programs at French universities.
šThe key event of the visit was a guest lecture by Mr. Nicolas Faye on France’s policy in Central Asia. The lecture generated great interest among the students and was accompanied by active discussion, numerous questions, and a lively debate, highlighting the high level of audience engagement and the relevance of the topic.
The visit of the French Ambassador was an important step in strengthening the international cooperation of the Kyrgyz Scientific and Practical University of Kyrgyzstan and developing academic and cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and France.
