On June 2, 2026, a meeting was held between E.Yu. Savchenko, Rector of the Educational-Research-Production Complex “International University of Kyrgyzstan” (ERPC IUK), A.A. Aydaraliev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mr. David Fernández Puyana, Ambassador of the University for Peace (UPEACE).
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further developing their partnership, strengthening cooperation through educational and academic exchanges, implementing joint scientific and educational initiatives, as well as issues related to the establishment of the Global Mountain University and the University for Peace in the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the University for Peace, established under the mandate of the United Nations, the Educational-Research-Production Complex “International University of Kyrgyzstan,” and the International Institute of Mountains.
The signing of the Memorandum opens new opportunities for international cooperation, the training of highly qualified specialists, and the promotion of sustainable development in mountain regions at the global level.
ERPC IUK continues to expand its international partnerships and strengthen cooperation with leading international organizations and universities around the world.
