Bishkek Eveluation Forum

On November 18, a workshop for young professionals was held at the International University of Kyrgyzstan as part of the regional forum “Dialogue on Evaluation Systems.” Saltanat Rasulova, UNDP Regional Evaluation Advisor, introduced participants to UN norms and standards, modern evaluation tools, and career opportunities for young professionals in the UN system.

Elena Savchenko, Rector of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening of the forum. She emphasized the growing role of universities in training qualified personnel for evaluation systems. During the forum, participants discussed national evaluation systems, youth participation, the role of evaluation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on climate resilience, and best regional practices, including the responsible use of artificial intelligence in evaluation.

At the session dedicated to the role of universities, Zhenishkul Moldokeeva presented IUK’s experience in developing educational programs in evaluation and strengthening cooperation with international partners.

The forum has become an important platform for interaction between the academic community, government agencies, and international organizations. The International University of Kyrgyzstan acted as a co-organizer along with the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Monitoring and Evaluation Network in partnership with development agents.
